Hestan Napa is part restaurant, part wine bar, part cookware boutique — a place to dine on Chef Mark Dommen's seasonal creations, sip award-winning Hestan Vineyard wines, and explore the cookware and appliances that make it all possible.
The name Hestan comes from its founders, Helen and Stanley Cheng. In 1996, the Chengs purchased a former cattle ranch on Napa Valley's eastern slopes and began planting what would become a 110-acre sustainably farmed estate — home to award-winning wines that earned a spot on Wine Spectator's Top 100. Stanley, an engineer who has spent nearly 50 years reinventing cookware, built Hestan on the belief that even the best can be better.
That philosophy lives in every detail here: estate-grown wines, Italian-crafted cookware, precision appliances, and a kitchen where every dish is cooked on Hestan — so you can see, taste, and experience the difference firsthand.

With more than 20 years of experience, Chef Dommen honed his craft under some of the world's most revered culinary masters — Hubert Keller, Gray Kunz, David Burke, and Jean-Louis Palladin. As Executive Chef at San Francisco's One Market Restaurant for over a decade, he earned a Michelin star from 2008 to 2012 and was named a StarChefs Rising Star.
A true Napa Valley local, Dommen tends a sprawling backyard garden where he grows everything from herbs and heirloom tomatoes to figs and burdock. That same passion for cultivating flavors brings richness and authenticity to every plate at Hestan Napa, where seasonal tasting menus showcase Liberty Farms duck, day boat scallops, and wood-fired steaks — paired with Hestan Vineyard wines crafted by Thomas Rivers Brown.
